TERRITORY
The story of Torrevento begins in the north of Apulia, from vineyards located at the foot of Castel del Monte.
Here, in the Torre del Vento Contrada, in the heart of the Alta Murgia National Park, we produce our wines following the sustainable agriculture decrees.
Today, as in the past, rural wine production is still the strength of our winery, dedicated to the recovery and enhancement of local grapes variety to best express the winemaking vocation of the Apulian territory.
TERRITORY AND WINES
The story of Torrevento begins in the north of Apulia, from wineyards located at the foot of Castel del Monte.
SUSTAINABLE WINERY
For more than 20 years Torrevento has embarked on a path of certified quality with Equalitas certification (in addition to the IFS Food and CSQA standards), affirming the company and product sustainability from an environmental, ethical and economic point of view.
The backbone of our approach to sustainability is the ethical one, doing business in compliance with our fundamental values: territory, man, product. For years we have been engaging in solidarity projects to ensure access to goods considered essential as work, safety, training and sociality.
Crowning a commitment to sustainability, Torrevento received the “Award for Sustainable Viticulture 2019” by Gambero Rosso.
AN OPEN WINERY
The values of welcome and hospitality are deeply rooted in the Apulian culture. Torrevento has always been an open winery: events, projects for the community, tastings, guided tours in the vineyard and the cellar make the bond strong with our territory and allow us to communicate the passion that drives our work to visitors and wine lovers.
